Idealists are not daydreamers. While the latter is well known, the former are those who, after identifying a goal, strive towards it despite knowing it is distant and challenging. They persist in their efforts, willing to try their best, regardless of the potential for failure.
To illustrate with an ecological analogy, some people merely hope for its prosperity and the wealth it could bring. Others believe and even ensure its prosperity, actively working towards it. We refer to these individuals as Builders.
A long-term Builder always carries a shade of idealism. In the volatile cryptocurrency realm, what motivates these individuals to persist without immediate financial rewards? It’s idealism.
The 15-year journey of Bitcoin is a testament to idealists’ perseverance. Bitcoin’s rise has never been smooth; it often unfolds in long cycles, characterized by months of growth followed by years of decline. Yet, people admire those who have held Bitcoin from the beginning, rarely asking themselves what it would take to sustain their commitment if they were to rewind 15 years.
Without the OGs who strived to witness a new era, there would be no Bitcoin today. Countless individuals’ efforts converged serendipitously to make Bitcoin inevitable.
Fifteen years later, we are fortunate to encounter Atomicals. Observing the ecosystem closely reveals that the community members diligently building every day are true embodiments of idealism.
Anyone who truly understands Atomicals realizes its indispensable role in the Bitcoin ecosystem. Striving for “great achievement” rather than mere success in financial terms is our endeavor.
The rewards from Atomicals transcend mere profit; they embody “meaning.” Participating in an early-stage ecosystem, regardless of the returns, constitutes a significant success in itself—that’s where the meaning lies.
The Bitcoin ecosystem is burgeoning, and every learner, entrepreneur, and investor should acquaint themselves with this early-stage environment and ideally participate.
Today’s Bitcoin ecosystem offers many intriguing facets. I believe many sectors will eventually thrive. Among them, the Atomicals protocol stands out as my recommended track—from colored coins to mining, from smart contracts to DeFi, each direction brims with imagination and narrative.
In the past, we speculated on cryptocurrencies, hoping others would drive and elevate them. The outcomes are known: those “others” often included VCs, institutions, or project teams. What meaning did individuals have in those coins?
In a truly decentralized ecosystem, everyone has a stake, everyone is a participant, and everyone can choose their level of contribution. How far can such an ecosystem go?
The success of the entire Bitcoin ecosystem hinges not on mindless hype but on collective efforts to foster a truly flourishing ecosystem beyond speculation.
Now, when I speak of idealism, it is not just about advocating for a single coin but for an entire ecosystem. Advocating for Atomicals to become mainstream is idealistic, and idealism, when realized, can also yield financial benefits. What we preach is more about hoping every passerby can sense the novelty, charm, and atmosphere of the Atomicals protocol. Even launching a new coin on ARC-20 is welcomed. Welcome aboard.
Idealism and speculation always coexist. The latter focuses on immediate gains, which I won’t delve into. The former concerns ultimate success, which I firmly believe can lead to wealth.
From an idealistic perspective, Atomicals will inevitably gain widespread acceptance. While I once believed it was because of its inherent qualities, I now recognize it’s largely due to the community—talented people with stories that resonate and attract others.
By choosing to explore Atomicals, you are stepping into a community brimming with ideals. Ideals have no ceiling; the most improbable situations often manifest within them.
Here, a steadfast group persists in building, unbiased by outcomes until the journey reaches its end.
