Farcaster is a leading protocol in the Socialfi track of this cycle, and the integration of the Farcaster protocol into Warpcast has been two months.
The Farcaster protocol is open and decentralized, and Warcast is governed by official centralization, which creates the tension inherent in this contradiction, resulting in the unique Farcaster Warpcast we have today.
For beginners, please refer to: “Getting Started with Farcaster Warpcast”
This article lists the top 100 celebrities in Warpcast to help readers quickly build high-quality feed streams.
Historical evolution
Initially, Warpcast operated on an invitation-only basis, with Dan Romero reviewing Twitter direct messages one by one and inviting users to join. In this way, the founder manually onboarded the initial 10,000 users. For a long time, Warpcast had only about 1,000 daily active users. After the introduction of the Channel function, the content was able to be distributed, and the number of daily active users increased to around 2,000, still a small circle.
The vibe of this core group of 2,000 people in Warpcast largely depends on Dan’s personal preferences: he hates financialization, encourages building, and encourages sharing life. The people he initially invited can be roughly divided into three categories:
(1) Coinbase series: such as Balaji, Brian Armstrong, Jesse, dev, etc. This is because Dan was a senior executive at Coinbase, and the asset issuance of the Farcaster protocol is also on the Base chain.
(2) A16z and other VCs: such as Mark Anderson, Chris Dixon, Linda Xie, Li Jing, etc. This is because a16z led the angel round financing of Farcaster.
(3) Ethereum ecosystem: almost all mainstream projects in the Ethereum ecosystem will open accounts on Farcaster, and many Ethereum developers are also active here. This is partly because of Dan’s preference for builders and partly because Vitalik updates his dynamics here on a daily basis.
In January of this year, the astonishing wealth effect of degen attracted many users, and the army of wool party broke the tranquility of Warpcast. But as the heat of degen speculation passed, if you pat the dust, you will find that the bottom color of Warpcast is still the same as before-because the core social graph is the soul of a community, and the three types of people who came here first are like Farcaster. The ballast of this ship makes it impossible for the speculation and speculation wind to raise waves here: in contrast, Twitter is like public media, and Farcaster is like a circle of friends-Twitter’s V is generally encouraged to output Alpha information, project research, and industry insights. Farcaster’s V prefers to talk about new products or ideas, life insights, and life thinking.
Every participant in the ecosystem is very important. This ranking is not in order, there may be omissions, and it is only used as a reference for new Farcaster users to quickly integrate into the ecosystem.
